Obsession: Anthropologie Necklace

I've been staring at this necklace at anthropologie.com for so long and so hard! Apparently so many people liked this necklace that it's been put on back order and this girl had to seek creative alternatives.

I must have this necklace. I wanted this necklace so badly, that I created it myself.


I couldn't find the same color beads at the store, so I chose my own pair of colors. Clear and white - so refreshing and spring-like, wouldn't you agree? Total cost to me? $8 - but I only used about... 1/2 the beads, so would it be safe for me to say that it cost me $4? Not counting labor of course, because bitch ain't cheap....

All it took was 2 hours of stringing while catching up with my favorite television shows on Hulu and two clasps. Now I have either one necklace or two, depending on how I feel. My modified copy is even better than the original because 1) white goes with everything. 2) If you don't agree, clear does. 3) My necklaces separate from one another and can be worn separately.

:) So the lesson learned here is ... if you want it, buy it immediately or make the damn thing yourself!
